Learning Domain
Role-play provides opportunities for learning in both the affective domain and the cognitive domain. In the affective domain, emotions and values are involved, and in the cognitive domain, experiences are analyzed.
While participating in the role play, learning is occurring in the affective domain, as the learner is experiencing the emotions associated with the role. Following the role play, during debrief and reflection, the learner is analyzing their experience, therefore, learning is taking place in the cognitive domain.
